Fritz Rivera-Assistant Instructor: Fritz Fun Dive-Contact Fritz All skills dive at the Edmonds underwater park. See some of the largest lincod and cabezon in the puget sound. Maximum depth will not exceed 45fsw. Meet time is 8:30am, splash by 9:00am. Parking can be a problem so get there early. Can do 2 dives if we splash on time.

Sund Rock - Hood Canal
Fritz Rivera-Assistant Instructor: Fritz Fun Dive-Contact Fritz Saturday, January 10th, Sund Rock – Hoodsport, splash at 10:00am
I’m planning on diving the Sund Rock dive site on Hood Canal Saturday, Jan 10th. Can do up to 4 dives on this site but will try for at least 3. See the link below for more information. Cost to enter the site is $16 per diver and goes to the Sund family foundation as this is a nature preserve. We will meet at the dive shop to pay the fee and make our way down to the entry location. Use the shop address for directions and also the ferry link for the current ferry schedule. I’m planning on hitting the 7:50am ferry from Edmonds.

We are sure to see a wealth of rockfish, lingcod, octopus and wolf eels, as well as nudibranchs, sponges, anemones, shrimp, crabs and sea stars. This will also be a dive to one of the wrecks listed in the Northwest Wreck Dives book by Scott Boyd and Jeff Carr. Plan is to be onsite and splash by 10:00am for the first dive. Bring snacks and beverages for the day as we will stay on site for additional dives. There is a porta potty but no other accommodations. Following the dives we can meet at a local restaurant and then head home. Plan your travel time with the ferry or traffic conditions if you are going around.
